Greg has been practicing law with Moulton Bellingham PC for 30 years. As reflected by the list of honors he has received (see summary to the left of this page), he is highly regarded by his peers in the profession.
Desiring to raise their family in their native state, Greg and his wife, Kate, returned to Montana after Greg graduated from law school at Notre Dame and served a law clerkship with a U.S. Court of Appeals Judge.
Greg built his reputation in the civil litigation practice. He has successfully represented large corporations, insurance companies, health care providers, small businesses, and individuals in a wide variety of civil disputes. The scope of matters he has litigated and tried ranges from commercial disputes to personal injury claims, from health care controversies to product liability cases, from antitrust claims to insurance disputes, and from bankruptcy cases to real property matters. He has managed cases in U.S. courts, state courts, and tribal courts. (See his bar admissions to the left.)
Greg gives back to the profession which has been good to him. He has a special interest in legal education and bar admissions. He was appointed to and ultimately chaired the American Bar Association's Law School Accreditation Committee which regulates law schools in the United States. For many years Greg chaired the Montana Board of Bar Examiners and the Multistate Bar Examination Committee. He chaired the National Conference of Bar Examiners. Greg is currently co-chair of the Special Committee on a Uniform Bar Examination which is designing a uniform bar examination to be administered in American jurisdictions. The State Bar of Montana awarded Greg its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his leadership in bar admissions.
Having built a reputation as a legal scholar, Greg was elected for life to the prestigious American Law Institute, the publisher of the Restatements of the Law.
Greg has been active in community affairs in Billings, a wonderful town in which to practice law and raise a family. In addition to the French horn, Greg's hobbies include golfing, skiing, backpacking, and his old BMW sports car. Greg and his wife, Kate, have three children: Megan (married to Ryan Kenny, an officer in the U.S. Army), Brian (just graduated from law school), and Allison (a labor and delivery nurse, and married to Brett Williams, a C.P.A.).
